Pregnancy After Miscarriage

Excited. Shocked. Overwhelmed. Scared. Overjoyed. Sad. Happy. Stressed.

These are just a few of the feelings that you have found yourself feeling after you have found out that you are pregnant after your miscarriage. You are experiencing all or some of these feelings at once and it is OK. No one ever talks about how it is being pregnant with your rainbow baby. Your senses have become heightened as you are analyzing every single thing that you are experiencing to make sure that you are not going to miscarry again.

You are concerned daily, if not hourly. Checking the tissue for blood after you wipe. Paying close attention to your muscle movements. Making sure that you still feel pregnant.

I want you to know that doing all of that is normal and OK. What you feel is valid.

1 in 4 women have experienced a miscarriage. 85% of women go on to have a successful pregnancy after their 1st miscarriage. You are not alone in this and you do not have to go through this alone.

It is important to try to relax and not stress at this moment. Catch up on some reading, take a bubble bath, exercise, or go cook up a storm. Whatever you need to do to relax, you do it. Allow yourself to enjoy this time and live in the moment no matter what the outcome may be.

Congratulations on your pregnancy!!! Remember that I am here for you.
